Delete your data

How to request deletion of data associated with Bitbolt Mobile, by jayBird, LLC.
Hosting customers: there is more to delete
This page covers the mobile app. If Bitbolt also hosts your server, the data on it is deleted separately — and we can do it on request.

Delete it yourself, in the app

This removes everything the mobile app holds, and takes effect immediately.1. Open Bitbolt and go to the servers list.
2. Swipe or long-press the server you want to remove, and choose Remove.
3. To remove everything, delete the Bitbolt app from your device.
Removing a server deletes the stored account from your device and unregisters the device from notifications. Deleting the app removes everything Bitbolt has kept locally.

Or ask us to do it

Email support@jybrd.io with the subject “Delete my data”. We will confirm within 30 days. The mobile app creates no account, so where the app alone is concerned the only record we can hold is a push notification registration, which we remove on request. If you are also a hosting customer, say so in the same email and we will delete the data on your server too.

What is deleted, and what is kept

DataWhere it livesWhen it is deleted
Server addresses and account detailsOn your device onlyImmediately, when you remove the server or delete the app
Push notification tokenjayBird's notification relayImmediately, when you remove the server or delete the app. Nothing identifying is kept — the relay never knows which server a device belongs to
Session cookies, diagnostics log, recent notification textOn your device onlyImmediately, when you delete the app
Records, messages, photos and attachmentsA server your own organization runsBy your organization, under their own policy — the app gives jayBird no access to it
Records, messages, photos and attachmentsA server hosted by BitboltBy us, on request, or 30 days after the tenant is suspended — see the hosting privacy policy
Of what the app itself puts anywhere, jayBird keeps no additional copy and applies no further retention period. The push token is retained only while a device is registered for notifications.

Data on the server you connect to

Bitbolt is a client for a back-office server. The records, chatter messages and photos you create live on that server, and who deletes them depends on who runs it.A server your own organization operates. That data never reaches jayBird through the app, and we have no access to it and no ability to delete it. Contact whoever administers it where you work.A server hosted by Bitbolt. We hold it, and we can delete it. Email us and we will, or it is deleted automatically 30 days after a tenant is suspended. The hosting privacy policy sets out what we hold, where, and for how long.See the app privacy policy for what does and does not leave your device.
